Privacy Policy

This is a plain-language description of what voicereflect ai actually collects and does with your data during the beta — not a substitute for formal legal advice. If you need a legally reviewed policy for a production launch, have this checked by a lawyer first.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address, and either a password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text) or a Google account link — never both raw values.
• Conversations: if you talk to voicereflect ai, the transcript (what you said and what it replied) is saved to your account so you can revisit it later. You can delete any single conversation or clear all of them at any time from the app.
• Custom companions: any persona you create (name, description, voice, appearance) is tied to your account.
• Feedback: anything you submit through the "Send feedback" button, along with which page you were on.
• Usage: during the beta, we track cumulative voice-session time per account to apply the free-tier limit.
• We do not collect payment information — there's no billing in the beta.

How your voice is processed

Your microphone audio is sent to OpenAI's API to be transcribed to text, turned into a reply, and spoken back to you. OpenAI processes that audio and text to generate the response; voicereflect ai stores the resulting transcript (text), not the raw audio recording itself.

Who we share data with

• OpenAI — processes your spoken audio and conversation text to generate replies (transcription, chat, and text-to-speech).
• Google — only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in; we receive your email, name, and a stable account identifier from Google, nothing more.
• We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else.

Where data is stored

Account info, conversations, companions, and feedback are stored in a database we operate on AWS, encrypted at rest. Kept until you delete it — conversations and companions can be deleted from within the app; email us to request full account deletion.

Not a substitute for professional care

voicereflect ai is an AI companion, not a therapist, doctor, or crisis counselor. If a conversation touches on self-harm or a crisis, voicereflect ai is designed to point you to real help (like 988 in the US) rather than try to handle it itself — but this hasn't been formally red-teamed. Please reach out to a real person or a crisis line if you need one.

Your choices

• Delete individual conversations or clear all of them, any time, from the app.
• Delete or edit any custom companion you've created.
• Sign out at any time; your session cookie is cleared immediately.
• Contact us to request a copy of your data or full account deletion.
